 In this project sign off meeting we discussed about my project's details with my tutor Zoe. She mentioned some issues and concerns about my project and we talked that how can I fix that. After we talked about these we decided that it will be complicated and detailed and take long time. Zoe suggested me to do something else with different theme because the researches I found that was not in Bauhaus theme. So we changed the place as a small independent cafe for millennials. And change the theme to early delights.  First I will look different space planning in different shaped spaces and draw some bubble diagrams for floor plan. Also I will research fire regulations and toilet sizes for cafe. I will use both traditional and digital sketches for 2D layouts.  project sign off

 For this task we chose an object to develop new ideas and be creative with the object.  I chose beads and tried to change these beads into something that I can use in my project. I use natural light and flashlight to see difference of reflection. I thought that how can I apply these objects into my project.  First ,I wrote down some words that come to my mind related with beads including feelings, shape, colors and lightning. Which they are: -jewelry -shining  -colorful -diamond shape -lightning -luxurious -crystal -edges -shadow -reflection After I took a picture with flashlight, I saw the colors and shape clearly. I realized that I could adapt the beads beautifully to decoration since they were transparent in natural light and revealed different colors in flashlight. This term I will be working on a fine dining restaurant design project. I will use both digital software and hand-drawing and sketching. I want to use dim lightning in my design. I was thinking to use table lamp or a dim yellow lamp hanging above the table. I researched fine dining restaurants and most of them has dim lightning with warm colors. This dim lightning helps people to relax and feel comfortable. It has also another positive impact that people stay longer in restaurants . Dim lighting encourages extended dining times and heightened social interactions, which might contribute to prolonged periods of eating and potentially higher food intake. For my AP1 project I will create a series of interior concept sketches and floor plan with using both software and hand-drawing and there will be a final physical 3D outcome for interior of my restaurant project. The aim of my project is designing a fine dining restaurant in Bauhaus theme. This restaurant will be more for wealthy people and it will be a quiet place with limited seating. I will draw some sketches of different sections of the restaurant to develop my idea. I will research some furniture types to use in my restaurant project and I will try to improve them by interpreting them in my own way. The furniture and design will be clean and tidy but also eye-catching, stylish and luxurious. Furniture will be functional and comfortable and I will avoid overwhelming the environment by adding too much stuff. After we chose our theme and started writing our first thoughts, we did Ideas Generation:Crazy Eights. The task was about drawing 8 ideas in 16 minutes. First we started this task with taking an A3 paper and fold it into 8 sections. Then we draw different ideas in each section in 2 minutes. It could be texture, design, decorations, lightnings...  Anything can relevant with our subject area. Because that we have only 2 minutes to think and draw the idea, these were simple ideas. It can also be change or develop with process.  After we completed our initial ideas with quick sketches, we showed our papers to each other and described our ideas to our partners. And after we discussed our ideas, we helped each other to chose 2 ideas from the paper. The 2 ideas were the ones we want to develop in other paper. We cut this 2 ideas from the paper. And then we took another A2 paper and fold it into 8 again. Then we attached our 2 ideas to left corner of the A2 paper. And then we repeated...

Expressionism is about reflecting dark and distortion on painting or object that we made. With high contrast , imagery , shadows and silhouettes it has a Gothic vibe and style.  Early delights theme is basically inspiring from nature and the human to design and create things. Main purposes of the theme of early delights are make people more comfortable , using sustainable and recyclable or reusable materials in designs. Other thing that important for the early delights theme is protecting the environment with using local and reusable sources . Bauhaus theme is more popular theme that I heard and see. Most important thing about Bauhaus theme is that everything has a purpose. This purpose helps society o improve and develop.
