Initial Ideas Generation: Crazy Eights

After we chose our theme and started writing our first thoughts, we did Ideas Generation:Crazy Eights. The task was about drawing 8 ideas in 16 minutes. First we started this task with taking an A3 paper and fold it into 8 sections. Then we draw different ideas in each section in 2 minutes. It could be texture, design, decorations, lightnings...  Anything can relevant with our subject area. Because that we have only 2 minutes to think and draw the idea, these were simple ideas. It can also be change or develop with process. 

After we completed our initial ideas with quick sketches, we showed our papers to each other and described our ideas to our partners. And after we discussed our ideas, we helped each other to chose 2 ideas from the paper. The 2 ideas were the ones we want to develop in other paper. We cut this 2 ideas from the paper. And then we took another A2 paper and fold it into 8 again. Then we attached our 2 ideas to left corner of the A2 paper. And then we repeated the process. We had 2 minutes to draw our first idea with develop and maybe change some of things. We kept doing this process for each section with more developed idea. 

First idea that I developed was small part of interior of an office. I was thinking to cover the wall behind the office table with bookcase. I drew the table in different geometric shape . I saw a lot of objects and furniture in geometric shapes in Bauhaus theme. I also drew some shelves to put some decorations for example; vases , ceramics and flowers. I can change the place of the shelves to other wall because I want to cover all wall with bookcase I think it will give a good appearance to room. I drew two sofas and middle table in front of the office table for guests. This was the basic idea of how my office design will look like. 

Other idea that I chose to develop was some decoration ideas for the office. Geometric shapes was one the main element of the Bauhaus style. So I wanted to add some shapes into room with decorations and also I drew some weird shaped decorations . Then I chose the floor lamp to develop more. I started designing the lamp in flower shape. And add some ivy with leaves around the lamp. Ampoule will be like a center of the flower.

Sequential Image Class Practice

We completed a class practice on creating sequential images this week.  I decided to take a couple of live photos of me and my friend are jumping . This pictures shows our actions and movements from standing to jumping into the air.  I used Iphone 14 Pro phone. I used 'burst' option in the camera and I set the timer for 5 seconds to capture our picture in the air. These are the settings below. In these pictures we inspired by Jumping Horse (1887) by Eadweard Muybridge. His photos include one horse and the man on the horse are jumping over an obstacle. And we decided take similar pictures like his photos which I put down below. And these are my original pictures.  The next step is that I am going to put my images together in Pixlr Editor. Major project : Initial ideas

 For digital arts I'm going to create project for our subject area. My subject area is interior design.   contemporary minimalist design of living room   I looked up some interior designs to decide what kind of design I wanted to do. I liked minimalist design, modern design and industrial design. And I searched a little bit more then I found contemporary design which is contains modernism, minimalism and art deco.
