Art Portfolio Project: Process Two (hand drafted drawings)

In this post I am gonna show some concept sketches and drawings that I done for my project. I will show and describe how did I start and how did my idea develop during the sketches.

I wanted to picture the window seat area in cafĂ©. I out the door across and placed the other sections through the door. Then I draw some details with  lighting and it looked like that. Then I want to draw it to see the colour harmony. I spend some time on painting this image but it looks a little messed up.

I will try again the perspective drawing and watercolour before my final outcome.

Then I wanted to draw a perspective drawing of kitchen. I started doing two-point perspective but I couldn't placed them in two-point perspective. Then I found out that I have to draw in one-point perspective because it is a small perspective and looking from front. Before I draw the kitchen perspective I wanted to draw bird-eye-view of kitchen. This is my final of bird-eye-view of kitchen. I wanted to show the places of the kitchen appliances. I was running out of time so I decided to not draw the kitchen perspective drawing.

Then I made more concept sketches. There are also some mistakes with perspectives in this drawing. I saw my mistakes in this drawings and I will correct them in my final outcome. Also painted one of them to improve my watercolour drawing. I was trying to paint whole section with same tone because of that it wasn't seem so good. I should paint corners and edges darker to give some shadow and depth to painting. And I should be more patient with drawing watercolour to make perfect outcome.

After I did some practice concept sketches and started drawing my final outcome. I chose the view from the door that I can draw counter area and seating area that is behind it together. I chose really wide perspective. Because of that some furniture and decorations was too small in the drawing. I struggled drawing chairs and tables. Making round shapes in perspective was the hardest part of this drawing.
I spent so much time on round shapes, I kept erasing and redrawing. After I spent great amount of time with drawing the sketch I redraw with pen and I liked the outcome with pen.

I was afraid to paint with watercolour because even if I did some practices with it still I wasn't feel comfortable with using watercolour. I am afraid that I am gonna ruin my drawing. Then I start using watercolour and try to apply similar tones in paper. I was more careful with painting in this time. I gave so much time for each detail. Even if is not the perfect result I liked the outcome.
