Experimentation

In this post I will show some of my design and drawings that I did for experimentation. I was confused with finding concept for my cafe .Then I decided to do a board game cafe that people can also eat food and play at same time with their friends and families. And I drew some space planning for board game cafe design. Also I placed some different seating options in space planning. Here some examples that I did.  


 



Then I draw some concept sketch for board game cafe design. I did it quickly to just see how it is gonna work so the dimensions and perspective is a little mess. I tried to draw coffee counter and the wall behind the counter with food list with prices and table and chair right in front of the coffee counter. But the chairs and tables  a little smaller than it should be because board games which inside of the shelves look bigger than chairs. I mixed up the perspective because of that it is not looking straight but I will develop in my future sketches this are just practice and experimentation. 



In this perspective drawing I tried to draw the window seat section  and other details and furniture. First I drew the window seat with chair and table and windows. Then I added some decorations to next wall to colour the environment. And still it was a little bit empty in sketch and I wanted to add sofas and tables which was one of my other idea. However, I started drawing without thinking the perspective and placement. And it come out in wrong way. It is look like I'm looking from the ceiling to the sofas but for window seat it is like I'm standing at the other side of the room and looking to the window seat. 



Moreover, I added some colours that I am thinking to use in my project. I used some of them to see how it is going to fit to each other. 

I will develop these ideas and get best outcome that I can do. In this sketches I used small area to draw, I have to think in wider perspective and show as much as area that I can. Also I used pastel pencils to colour my sketch , I will use watercolour to apply colours and I will have more colours with watercolour.

Sequential Image Class Practice

We completed a class practice on creating sequential images this week.  I decided to take a couple of live photos of me and my friend are jumping . This pictures shows our actions and movements from standing to jumping into the air.  I used Iphone 14 Pro phone. I used 'burst' option in the camera and I set the timer for 5 seconds to capture our picture in the air. These are the settings below. In these pictures we inspired by Jumping Horse (1887) by Eadweard Muybridge. His photos include one horse and the man on the horse are jumping over an obstacle. And we decided take similar pictures like his photos which I put down below. And these are my original pictures.  The next step is that I am going to put my images together in Pixlr Editor. Major project : Initial ideas

 For digital arts I'm going to create project for our subject area. My subject area is interior design.   contemporary minimalist design of living room   I looked up some interior designs to decide what kind of design I wanted to do. I liked minimalist design, modern design and industrial design. And I searched a little bit more then I found contemporary design which is contains modernism, minimalism and art deco. It doesn't refer any specific time in contemporary design. It is always changing and it represents a popular styles of present day.
