Focus Group Presentation Questions

In this post I will discuss focus group group presentation and feedback that I received from classmates. Before presentation I prepared some questions to ask my classmates.

These are my questions:

•  Do you think this design is accessible and comfortable for students ?
•  What can I add or take out in this design ideas?
•  What do you think that  I can change in the design of sofa to do more accessible?
•  What do you want in break out space ? 
•  Which layout of space planning will work better?

First I started with presenting my brief to them. Then I presented my digital prototypes and two 3D physical model to my group. I also showed some ideas that I sketched in week 1-2 to to describe them why I used this elements in my design. 

I received some helpful feedbacks from this presentation. They liked the general design and find it accessible. They told me to keep first floor for relaxing except studying because it is hard to study in public, loud areas. They liked the idea of keeping the recreation area and relaxing area separate. I could work on more this to improve. 

For the sofa design they suggested me to change the two sides of sitting area to one to make private. They give me a suggestion to put see through wall to separate different areas and this will increase the privacy. I could remove the tables in wrapped sofa design and add a bookshelf around it. This will allow more people to sit and spend more time. 

They wanted to see vending machine, coffee machine in break out space and as I mentioned above some see through wall like mirror wall, glass window. They liked this space planning most. 

I will use these suggestions to improve my designs , I found out my missed things and some changes that I can my on my design. I will change the design of wrapped sofa and make more concept sketches and digital prototype with this planning that my classmates liked most.
