Further Development

 In this post I will add all my developments that I did including space planning, developing the design and concept sketch. First I did some space planning diagrams for both break out space. For the ground floor I am thinking to do a recreation area that people can more have fun. I leave a space for table games and next to the table games I placed seating area. As there is 3 opening which people will enter or exit, I have to leave enough space to walk in the room. Also there is 2 storage room in the right wall between doors so I have to consider all these while designing the space. In first space planning I placed the seating area in the corner and also next to the opening there is some empty space so I thought I can place comfortable benches with small coffee tables and in the middle of the room I can place the table games so it allows more space for people. 

In the second planning I changed the table games place with seating area. Also I added shelves for board games so I can put a table between sofas and students can play games on table too and I placed the on the empty wall. 

This space planning is also similar with first one but with more detail. I wanted to use wrapped sofa idea, I will make some changes in the sofa design because I couldn't place the sofa the way that I want. I also put table and chairs in design but it might be unnecessary because I will put them in first floor. Ground floor is smaller than first floor so I don't want to put so much things and overwhelm the space. Table games will take up enough space anyway so I will keep it simple. 

Then I did some space plannings for first floor too. For first floor I wanted to add high tables more for eating and studying. Also I wanted to display students' artwork in break out space so I placed sofa and table toward to wall and put some cupboards with students' artwork in it and placed the TV in the middle of cupboards so more students' artwork can display also with progress. As there is also two big openings in this room I left a space for people walk and pass easily. 

In the second space planning I kept the gallery area and high tables same. Then I added a bookshelf next to the door and placed more seating also included individual single chairs.  

In this space planning, I change the place of sofa and cupboards next to the lift and placed the high tables in opposite way. In this planning I tried to place the sofa that I designed in initial ideas. I put the wrapped sofa in the corner and put a white board on the wall. But now I don't think it is a good idea to put white board because this place is more for relax and have fun than studying. But still the white board can be used for other situations maybe for games or informal meetings. Then I placed the bookshelf on the left wall. 

Then I tried to develop my wrapped sofa idea. However it didn't came out the way that I wanted, I need to work on this and develop my idea. In this drawing I added a side table which connected to sofa. I added this because it will allow people to put their stuff and also it will separate the seating spaces so it can also be an individual seating area. My idea for this sofa was make more private seating area but now it looked intimate. As I said there is some flaws in my idea so I will try design and draw better. 

Then I wanted to place the bookshelf and thought about around the window. In that wall I can't place so much furniture or decorations because the doors are opening there. Also I don't want to leave this wall empty so I placed the bookshelf. I liked the idea it looks different and interesting and it is in accessible place. 

I made a quick concept sketch to place everything together. I put highlight windows for two walls to make room brighter with natural sunlight. Then I placed all the things that I want to put in space. It looks like this in simple way. For an extra I put vending machine next to the door. So now I can visualise how it is gonna fit. It looks okay but I need to make some changes in future. To decide how I am gonna place and design I will make more concept sketches and I will add the process in my blog. I made some mistakes while sketching and painting this drawing. Next time I will spend more time and be more careful with sketching.
