Digital Arts Reflection

This is a reflection for Digital Arts Spring Term. In this post I will reflect my works which I did during this term. I will start reflecting with the first project in class which is a sequential images practice. It was our first group project in the term. We took some moving pictures with using the Burst option in camera with using mobile phone. We used the images of process from jumping. From our position on the ground to jumping into the air. We quite enjoyed taking these pictures together.And then we put in order the images and did final work of this project.


Next project was creating an advertisement. There is so many options to do an advertisement. Hardest part of this project was choosing an object or a service to make an advertisement about it. I decided to do a gum advertisement which is funny and enjoyable to research and create an advertisement. I decided to do very colorful and fun poster for my advertisement and I decided that my target audience will be Generation Z and Generation Alpha. The poster is represent the joy and happiness with chewing gum and it is also shows that this advert for young generation. Logo is simple and match with the style of the gum. The tagline is so catchy and memorable which it is no need to write anything else on the poster. I quite liked and enjoyed with the overall outcome.



My major project of this term was 'Tiny Tiny House' which is a small flat house. I wanted to do small 1+1 house for a person who lives alone. I wanted design this house in modern and minimalist style so I started by researching the interior designers who used modern and minimalist style together. After I found some examples for my project I decided my color palette and materials. I also researched average small 1+1 house square meters. After that I did my first plan  by dividing the space then I started to design all the house. Although it has a small area for this house after designing the interior there is a lot of space left that can be evaluated. I quite liked the outcome but still there is some missing things in my project. 




I created a website to put my projects that I did and will do during the year. I used beige- green color palette in my website. In homepage I put an image which I found in Unsplash and that is copyright free image. On front portfolio page I added floor plan of my project . In the gallery page which is for my project I added 9 design boards that describe my interiors design. In contact page I used another image from Unsplash and I changed this image to vertical image also from Unsplash in the mobile view. In about me page, above the information about myself, I put my own photo which our teacher Zoe took for us. After I finished everything I checked all the links and buttons for ready to use.

Sequential Image Class Practice

We completed a class practice on creating sequential images this week.  I decided to take a couple of live photos of me and my friend are jumping . This pictures shows our actions and movements from standing to jumping into the air.  I used Iphone 14 Pro phone. I used 'burst' option in the camera and I set the timer for 5 seconds to capture our picture in the air. These are the settings below. In these pictures we inspired by Jumping Horse (1887) by Eadweard Muybridge. His photos include one horse and the man on the horse are jumping over an obstacle. And we decided take similar pictures like his photos which I put down below. And these are my original pictures.  The next step is that I am going to put my images together in Pixlr Editor. Major project : Initial ideas

 For digital arts I'm going to create project for our subject area. My subject area is interior design.   contemporary minimalist design of living room   I looked up some interior designs to decide what kind of design I wanted to do. I liked minimalist design, modern design and industrial design. And I searched a little bit more then I found contemporary design which is contains modernism, minimalism and art deco. It doesn't refer any specific time in contemporary design. It is always changing and it represents a popular styles of present day.
