Website Evaluation
Now I completed all the pages of my website so I will be evaluating it in here by checking some questions.
What were your initial ideas for creating a website? style / name / template
My initial idea was create a website to show my works and projects with details and researches. As an interior design student the site name need to include my name and my company name. I chose a interior design template which is my subject area.
Do you have a tagline on your website?
I don't have a tagline in my website. I just have a subheading which is my subject area right under my name.
Research:
Which designers / artists (relevant to your continuation route) websites did you look for inspiration?
I looked at the websites of Nate Berkus and Dorothy Draper. Both websites was fun to look at it. Dorothy Draper's website was very colorful because of the designs that she made. Nate Berkus's website was simple, chic and elegant. I wanted to like Nate Berkus's website but more colorful than his but also not so colorful like Dorothy Draper's.
How many pages did you want to make on your website and why? Did that change as you progressed onto the research / designing stage?
I have 4 main pages in my website; home, about, portfolio and contact. I added a subpage under the portfolio page to add my project. I will add my further projects under the portfolio page using the subpages. I did 4 main pages because I need only 4 pages for now.

The purpose of my website to show my projects to the people. I can use this website for my potential future clients to show my previous works and my design style. Also I can use this website to contact with consumers.
Who are your potential website users?
Probably my potential users will be Generation Z and Millenials. These people will be people who wants the design their houses or shops or businesses with minimalist and modernist style.

It is important to access portfolio in digital devices. With digital portfolio more people access the portfolio of the artist or designer. It is also easy and quick to look and check the portfolio from digital portfolio website.
Design:
Which design elements / tools did you use? (e.g.: infographics, fixed header, static background image, navigation menu design, text boxes, image galleries, social media feed) and why?
My website has a beige and green color palette and I used stationary header and footer that these can be viewed on all pages. And I added a full background image for my homepage. I used smaller image for my contact page to color the page. I chose different image for my mobile view in contact page. I chose a vertical image to fit more properly. I think the images I chose well represent my subject area and design style. I used different type of text fonts to give lively appearance to my website such as ; Bodoni Poster, Lulo Clean and Helvetica fonts. For social media bar I used original icons of applications. I used simple and basic navigation bar which is easy to use for people.
Which template did you use in Wix and why?
I used interior design template because that also my subject area and I can easily edit this template the way that I want to design.
