Skills Development: 2 Point Perspective Concept Drawing

In this workshop we learned how to draw 2 point perspective sketches. First our tutor gave us an example reference image for our sketches. This is my reference image to draw.

I started perspective drawing by drawing horizon line and vanishing points. Then I drew the lines and created a room. Then I drew all the furniture and decorations using 2 vanishing points. This is my final sketch with pencil. I tried to add most of the details. But when I tried to draw pillows it looked weird so I erased it.

Then I redraw with ink pen to finalize my concept drawing. Using 2 vanishing point was easier than I thought but I struggled to draw some of furniture such as chair. It looks weird than reference photo but still in total I quite liked it. I will improve myself with drawing so many sketches.

After I finished sketching with ink pen I coloured the sketch with watercolour. This is my final outcome for 2-point perspective drawing.

  1. Good you practiced perspective drawing, you could have followed this up with further drawings and colour
