Development Exercise: Creating Studies

In this post I will choose one of the ideas that I sketched and one image that I generated with Deep AI. As I couldn't find so much inspiration from AI images I decided to create more specific images. I chose little gallery area idea to develop so I wrote more detailed prompt into Deep AI and generate more images. I want to put glass cupboards over the wall and painting all over the wall. I wrote 'seating area on the corner of the room with some artworks onto wall and shelves. also a glass cupboard to represent students' artwork showcase about artworks in tv. two mannequins for fashion students. comfortable wide and large and curved sofa with table in front. in university art factory building' into prompt and here some images generated with AI.

After I generate these images I had an idea to place the sofas, cupboard and students' artworks. These images gave me an idea to use different type of sofas and different placement of these furniture. 



Then I made a quick sketch to see how can I fit the furniture and decorations in the corner. I am thinking to place this area in the corner for now. I wanted to place L sofa like in Fig.1. I placed the sofa in the corner and put two glass cupboards next to the edge of the sofa and added extra shelves onto wall and put the paintings onto wall. I  placed asymmetric table in front of the sofa.  



Then I made another sketch but this time I added mannequins for fashion students' artwork. I changed the places of cupboards and shelves to see different varieties. Also added more chairs in front of the table. I want to make this place as colourful and interesting as I possible. 



Our tutor suggested me to put a TV into this corner to display students' artworks. With TV there will be more artwork shown and even the progress of the artwork can ben shown on TV.  In this sketch I changed the sofa place and placed face to TV . Then I placed the paintings and artworks all over the wall. 




These were the some development sketches that I did using my initial and further ideas and AI images that I generated in Deep AI. I will keep developing these ideas in future and add these process into my posts.

    Not sure that your prompts are giving you the best material - these AI images look more like living rooms than public spaces - work with a light pad to use some of these as the basis to develop your ideas - its important you do this in order to get the best out of your design idea.

    Post your Initial Visual Research and Further Development as requested in Week 2. Remember it is the first indicative assessment at the end of Week 3.

Major project : Initial ideas

 For digital arts I'm going to create project for our subject area. My subject area is interior design.   contemporary minimalist design of living room   I looked up some interior designs to decide what kind of design I wanted to do. I liked minimalist design, modern design and industrial design. And I searched a little bit more then I found contemporary design which is contains modernism, minimalism and art deco. Sequential Image Class Practice

We completed a class practice on creating sequential images this week.  I decided to take a couple of live photos of me and my friend are jumping . This pictures shows our actions and movements from standing to jumping into the air.  I used Iphone 14 Pro phone. I used 'burst' option in the camera and I set the timer for 5 seconds to capture our picture in the air. These are the settings below. In these pictures we inspired by Jumping Horse (1887) by Eadweard Muybridge. His photos include one horse and the man on the horse are jumping over an obstacle. And we decided take similar pictures like his photos which I put down below. And these are my original pictures.  The next step is that I am going to put my images together in Pixlr Editor.
