Further Ideas Generation
For this task we learn creating images in deep AI. We opened deep AI website and clicked onto 'AI Image Generator' then chose our style related with our subject area to create an image. Then we wrote a prompt to reach most related design idea that we want to design. I started writing prompts both looking to my brief and the things that I want to add in my design.
First I chose 'Watercolour Architecture Generator' for style and write this prompt ' interior of break out space in university for students to rest, play and work'. This image came out and this space is different from that I am gonna design so I have to give more details to achieve best result.
It was keep putting more windows into design so I write more in detail for windows but it appear again in image. However this image more look like a break out space rather than house with bookshelves and computers to study and table and sofas. I write 'interior of break out space in university for students to rest, play and work accessible for wheelchair. one floor and only one wall with windows others don't have window more private areas for students' for prompt.
Then I changed the style to 'Contemporary Architecture Generator' and write 'interior of break out space in university for students to rest, play and work . accessible for wheelchair. one floor and only one wall has windows others dont have windows. more private areas for students with comfortable couches' for prompt. This image came out. This huge space with floor to ceiling glass keep appearing all the time and this reduces the reality. This image look more a hospital waiting are or cafeteria. I didn't like the result.
Last image that I generated with Deep AI was this. I selected 'Contemporary Architecture Generator' style and write ' interior of break out space in university for students to rest, play and work . accessible for wheelchair. one floor and only one wall has windows others dont have windows. more private areas for students with comfortable couches like wrapped shaped and looking opposite way' into prompt. And this image came out. I tried to catch the S shaped wrapped sofa idea that I designed in initial ideas task. This wasn't the idea that I want to generate but this can be useful to develop my ideas.
I couldn't find that much inspiration from this images. However it helped me to visualise space, furniture and decorations all together. I liked the idea of facing sofas with the coffee table between and TV idea. Now I will develop my ideas with using initial sketches that I drew and AI images that I generated.
First I developed my wrap shaped sofa. I changed the sofa design with adding both side all covered sofa. I added bended walls onto corners and in the middle of the sofa to separate the area with table and chairs and individual sitting area. With this idea I tried to create more private area so one group of people can sit onto table area and on the other part people can sit both individually and in a group. I have some shortcomings with this idea and I will improve it in my next sketches.
Then I designed a seating area with sofas and chairs around the table. I added glass cupboards next to sofa for represent students' artwork. I also designed the cupboards in different shapes to make more interesting. Also I put extra shelves onto wall to put other artworks and onto other spaces on wall I placed paintings. This area is like a small gallery of students' artwork. This little gallery space is for students get inspired and learn more about other designs by other students' artwork.

Okay decent effort here with a good combination of use of AI and your own drawings. You discuss a range of elements here, but they seem to have come out of nowhere and you are not supporting this with inspiration (for example where did the idea for a bookcase come from and what kind of chairs and tables are you thinking of for these spaces?).
ReplyDeleteYou haven't posted your Initial Visual Research yet, this should be on here by now to show us what you have been inspired by in your design so far. This is important!
The next step is to show us what you are doing with these drawings in a Further Development post and start to refine them as we get closer to the Prototype presentation in Week 3.
